Want to help your community prepare for disaster? Love teaching kids? Become a Pillowcase Project presenter for the Silicon Valley!
The Pillowcase Project is a Disney-sponsored project that started after Hurricane Katrina and teaches 3rd-5th grade kids emergency preparedness and coping skills. We have lots of after-school and weekend presentations lined up for 2018, and we'll need your help to do them!
If you want to become a presenter, come out to the Pillowcase Project Training Day on Saturday, February 10 from 2pm-4pm at the San Jose Office (2731 N. 1st St). You and other Red Cross club members will gain the skills and confidence to present these life-saving skills to kids near you (maybe even your own siblings!)
All you'll need to bring is a great attitude and the completion of the following EDGE trainings: "Basic Instructor Fundamentals for Youth" (1.5 hours) and "The Pillowcase Project: Module 1" (1 hour).
Sign up for the Pillowcase Project Training Day here. Access the two online EDGE trainings by signing into your Volunteer Connection account and clicking "Connect to EDGE" (top right).
